What is the CEL?
Please read an overview on the main page. You can read the full curriculum document here.

Who should take the CEL?
you’ll develop self-awareness, confidence, communication and collaboration skills, and a first-hand understanding of group dynamics. You’ll do it in engaging and real environments with lots of uncertainty and change - just like the future will be.

Our graduates often move into international adventure tourism and education careers. They also use the transferable leadership skills from this programme to embark on business, professional and corporate management pathways all over the world.

What can I do with the CEL after I finish the course?
Please have a look at our Pathways page for more information.

How do I get a student visa?
Once you have been accepted by for study, you must get a student visa. All non-local students need one. ITS will sponsor your visa with the necessary supporting documents from you. Normally, the Hong Kong Immigration Department requires the documents below, although they may ask for others depending on the actual circumstances. It will usually take six weeks to process a visa application, but to be safe we will apply as far in advance as possible. You should submit all of the following to ITS for visa processing:

  • Form ID995A completed and signed (http://www.immd.gov.hk/pdforms/ID995A.pdf)
  • Photocopy of your passport
  • One recent photo of yourself (affixed on form ID995A)
  • A photocopy of your letter of admission from ITS in Hong Kong, as well as your letter accepting the place
  • Evidence of your financial standing (bank statements, passbooks, proof of scholarship funds, etc.). If someone is sponsoring you financially, that person must submit a declaration stating their relationship to you, their intention to support your study and living expenses and their financial standing

What is the accommodation?
Students who already live in Hong Kong can choose to remain at home and just attend class. However, the nature of the programme and your reasons for doing it mean that it is recommended you join the international programme members in the provided accommodation.

International students will be accommodated in shared apartment style living in the village of Pui O on the Island of Lantau. Students reside in an apartment block in this small village with full amenities that is situated next to one of the largest wild areas in Hong Kong where many of the field pursuits take place. There is also a surf beach across the road! Pui O village is about 60 minutes from Central Hong Kong by bus and ferry. Typical rent here is approximately USD390/month.
