Highlights of Cambridge Summer Programme  




Cambridge Summer Camp 2016 is ideal for students who would like to apply to the University of Cambridge or other top UK universities.

This camp is a great chance for students to experience the historic university city of Cambridge. Students receive tuition in their chosen academic subject, as well as lectures in other subjects, and workshops to prepare students for applying to universities. Students’ studies are complemented by activities and excursions, including theatre trips.

July Program: 26th June 2016 – 16th July 2016 (3 weeks) 
August Program23rd July 2016 – 13th August 2016 (3 weeks, including a 1 week Global Leaders Programme).

July: Computer Sciences and Maths, Life Sciences and Medicine, Physics and Engineering, English Literature and Performance, Economics and Business Management, Journalism and Media, Politics and International Relations, SAT Preparation 
August: Biotechnology, Chemistry and Medical Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, English Literature, International History, Philosophy, Economics, 
July & August: Law, Psychology, English as a Second Language. 

Excursion activities 
Excursions allow students to explore the culture and history of the UK, complementing the academic learning in the classroom during their courses. All Reach Cambridge students enjoy supervised visits to world-famous locations outside of Cambridge, such as: Oxford, London, Stratford-Upon-Avon, the English Coast, Palaces, Castles and theatre trips. 

Daily activities are available in both the afternoons and evenings, led by an experienced supervisor team. These include sports such as football, tennis and cricket, along with art, drama, music workshops, and many more. Students can also benefit from personal statement workshops, and attend a mock interview in their chosen subject. 

Accommodation
Students reside within undergraduate rooms in a Cambridge University college. They live in a corridor of other students of the same gender, with one supervisor for every 12 students. 

Price
From GBP 4395 (excluding airfare). Price includes: accommodation, 2 meals a day, all tuition, activities, excursions, optional airport transfers and 24 hour supervision. 

Staff
Reach Cambridge Teaching staff are lecturers and researchers primarily from Cambridge University, along with other academic institutions in the UK (Oxford and London universities). Students also learn from visiting lecturers who are highly qualified professionals in their field. 

The supervisory staff are an experienced team of undergraduate students, who are all first aid trained and look after the welfare of students on their corridor, along with running the various activities and excursions during the program.

IELTS Exam Preparation Summer Camp 2016 (ages 14 – 18)

IELTS Exam Preparation Summer Camp 2016 is ideal for those students who would like to learn more about IELTS exam, to improve their examination skills and practise their academic English during the summer. This camp is taught by specialist IELTS teachers, who are qualified and are recognised by the British Counc il in the UK. Students will practise the reading, writing, listening and speaking papers using past exams and can choose to sit an IELTS examination at the end of the summer camp.

Accommodation: within traditional boarding schools: Dulwich College or Caterham School

- 15 hours of General English classes per week
- 12 hours of Intensive IELTS Preparation classes per week

English Plus Activity English Summer Camp 2016 (Ages 8-18)

English in Action Summer Camp 2015 is designed for students wishing to improve their English through clear and intensive classroom teaching.

Students are grouped by age and ability at the beginning of the course and placed in a class of the appropriate level in a group of 12 to 15 students.

During the camp, teachers monitor students’ progress and customise the activities to suit their needs, with the aim of improving their reading, grammar, writing, vocabulary, listening and comprehension skills. A certificate and a full academic report are awarded at the end of the programme.

- 15 hours of General English classes per week
- 6 hours of Language Activities classes and cultural events per week
- 6 hours of sports per week
- Varied social programme: disco, quiz, talent show
- Two full-day excursions per week to London and beyond
- One half-day off-site local visit

Chelsea Football English Summer Camp 2016 (Ages 8-16) (Boys only)

In partnership with Chelsea FC Foundation, Chelsea Football English Summer Camp 2016 is designed for boys aged 8-16. The camp combines football coaching with English tuition.

On top of football training and intensive English classes, there are also excursions including visiting the stadiums of Wembley and Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea Football Club, as well as the training ground at Cobham. There are also sightseeing trips to London and nearby Brighton.

- 15 hours of General English classes per week
- 15 hours of Soccer Coaching per week
- Half-day’s Intensive Coaching at Chelsea FC Training Ground
- Visit to Stamford Bridge Stadium

Performing Arts English Summer Camp 2016 (Ages 8-16)

Performing Arts English Summer Camp 2016 offers students the opportunity to develop their skills in drama and dance whilst improving their English.

This camp builds skills in singing, acting and dancing. On top of the Performing Arts component, students will have five days of English classes per week in small groups of 12 to 16, taught by specialist teachers.

The highlight of the camp includes a musical show in a West End theatre.

Debating and Critical Thinking, now in its tenth year, Global Young Leaders is a premium debate and communication course for students aged 12 to 17.

Courses last two, four or eight weeks and provide a balance of elements to suit the needs of each candidate in English, Maths, Science, Debating and Critical Thinking.
