Brexit is sending students packing, straining private schools on both ends

Needless to say, Brexit is causing many problems for UK schools and universities. However, it also appears it is a boon to schools in the rest of Europe“While campuses in Britain look toward Asia in their struggle to refill seats, those on the Continent are scrambling to prepare for a crush of new pupils.”  Among other effects it appears that many less European students are enrolling in UK summer school courses, causing financial hardship to many UK educational institutions.

Colin Bell, the chief executive of the Council of British International Schools, believes that “There’s this uneasy feeling about Brexit. There is some concern about the perception that the U.K. no longer welcomes foreigners.”

It seems more and more difficult to find any positive effects of the Brexit saga…
