China coronavirus - Hong Kong students face exam crunch as school year takes another hit after suspension caused by protests

By ITS Education Asia

Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam recently announced that all kindergartens, primary and secondary schools would remain closed until February 17 (This has now been extended to early March).

This has many worrisome implications for students facing their final exams in April, May and June. While there is some scope for Hong Kong EDB to tinker with the DSE results as a way of recognizing the negative effect these school closures will have on students there is little the Government can do to help students who are sitting International Syllabus exams such as the IB, A-levels and IGCSE exams.

This interruption is now on top of the disruptions caused by the recent protest movements.

ITS remains open to help any students prepare for their exams. Students may attend lessons at our schools or receive tuition support online. Contact us for any queries.
