Overseas schemes fund language learning in some UK primary schools

By ITS Education Asia

Foreign governments are increasingly paying teachers and providing free learning material and support to UK schools to promote languages. For many schools, without this foreign assistance, they would be unable to pay for this type of specialized teaching and support. Portugal, Italy, Spain, Germany and France just a few of the foreign governments that are facilitating language learning in the UK, while the UK government has set a target of 90% of students taking a GCSE in a foreign language by 2025.
