The idea that teachers can be armed in schools in Florida as a way of trying to deal with school shootings seems like a very bad idea to me.
I fail to see how putting potentially thousands of guns into schools will make the schools safer. To me it just seems that having more guns easily available on the school grounds will increase the chance of people being shot. Bad people will not need to bring guns into schools to shoot people; they will simply need to take them from someone already there.
This, in my view, is a massive step backward in schools safety and I hope other places do not follow Florida’s lead.
