Video games....make better employees

In news that will thrill the youth of today, Dr Matthew Barr, a lecturer at the University of Glasgow, makes the case that video games can improve communication skills and critical thinking, just the things that employers are looking for in a modern workforce. Is this just wishful thinking, or should we be encouraging youth to actually play more games?
