What do I enjoy most about tutoring?😁
One reason I enjoy tutoring is because I like getting to know my students and discovering the world through their eyes. Gaining insight into their perspectives and beliefs on life makes me very happy. I can state with certainty that I have gained just as much knowledge from my students in the past as they have from me.
Another factor I enjoy tutoring is my conviction that it has the power to change people's lives. I have observed positive changes in students' lives, which I find rewarding. For example, when students have come to me and admitted that they were stressed out about school or that their grades were declining before and now have been lifted back up or look forward to attending class rather than feeling like it's a burden.
Tutoring also gives me the freedom to experiment with different teaching methods. For instance, I don't have to follow the rules set forth by the school and can teach the content anyway I see fit for students and myself.
My Strengths as Tutor💪
As a tutor, I am very patient and go with the process of students learning, no matter they are fast learners or slow learners. I try my best to be involved and understand their process and difficulties they face during their learning process and try to understand and help them as much as i can to reduce their mistakes.
I am also very flexible with tasks and works students come to me with and open-minded as a tutor who welcomes diverse questions and any open topic questions so students can learn without any hesitation instead of having misunderstandings or learn through wrong paths or ways.
I have good communication skills through speech, listening, gestures and appreciation especially to encourage students to continue their work and improve.
I also have empathy and try to understand students situations. For example if they need some emotional support or want to be heard out, I approach them and try my best to make them feel comfortable during distressing situations.
Most important things I can do for a student🏅
A tutor can build confidence in their students and try their best to reduce their mistakes or weaknesses. They can improve the student's study skills such as preparation for assignments and tests/exams, note taking skills and be a good listener and have patience towards their student.
