What do I enjoy most about tutoring?😁
Besides seeing students succeeding, I love it when they have that lightbulb moment. They finally start understanding a topic that they have been struggling with, which then leads to them becoming more interested/motivated to continue learning.
My Strengths as Tutor💪
In addition to having basics skills needed to be a good tutor, such as knowledge, patience, and passion, I would say my strengths are that I’m adaptable and have great communication skills. Due to experiences in different industries, I have learnt to become adaptive and understand the importance of having great communication skills.
Furthermore, I believe a tutor should be like a chameleon, that changes to the needs of each student because everyone is unique and takes in information in a different manner.
Most important things I can do for a student🏅
The most important things a tutor can do for a student is to put the student first.
To not only help them with their work but also to help them with their confidence and engage them in a way that interest them.
A tutor should be someone who is encouraging, approachable and aim to equip the students not only with knowledge, but also with skills. Doing so, will help them learn and develop their own understanding and studying styles, which would aid them to be more productive in the long run.

About Me
I am recent health care graduate who loves reading and learning languages in my free time. As the second oldest among my siblings and cousins, I have always been asked to help with the younger kids homework or teach them topics such as algebra, grammar and pronunciation. This responsibility has conditioned me to be patient and understanding towards those with difficulty comprehending or applying the things they have learnt.
Experience
0.5
My tutoring experience has always been unofficial because I have only tutored my younger family members and relatives. However, through that experience, I learnt about how to make a difficult topic more understandable for different types of learners. Moreover, I also volunteered as an English teacher for young children aged 8-13 in Myanmar (remotely), which piqued my interest in tutoring.
