THE BIOMEDICAL ADMISSIONS TEST (BMAT)

Oxford & Cambridge Applications

The BMAT is a test used by certain universities as part of their entrance requirements to courses in Medicine, BioMedical Science and Dentistry. Usually your result is only part of the total consideration whether to offer you a place but it is a very important part. For top universities which interview as part of the admissions process, a low score in BMAT can be the end of your application.

The test is run by Cambridge Admissions Testing (ATS) and ITS Education Asia is an open centre (#HK109). This means we can allow any candidate to sit the exam with us, whether or not you are an ITS student.

There are two sittings per year at ITS - in September and October. You can choose either but only one in an application cycle (per year).

Important:

September entry – students must contact ATS directly; ITS is an exam centre ONLY for this session and will not do direct enrolments October entry – students may enrol directly with ITS; ITS is BOTH the enrolling and examining centre for this session

Full information on how to apply and which universities use the test is on the official website.
