Recognise the potential of learning

If you've got a clear goal or even just a dream, recognising that ITS can help get you there is the first step to achieving your educational pathway. At ITS we are here to help ensure that you choose the right course. You may already have a very clear idea of what you want or need to study. For some, the decision is harder and you may be unsure about what subject to take or at which level to start.

Before you start, you will need to think about a few things that will help you make the right decision.

Questions to ask before choosing a suitable course:

  • What qualification does the course lead to?

For example International GCSE or A-level.

  • Is that qualification appropriate for me?

Think about how old you are and how much learning you have already done. Study the A-level or GCSE subject specifications to see what they are intended for e.g. A-levels are for gaining entry to university. Think about whether you are taking all your qualifications online or just one or two to supplement your other learning. You also need to consider the amount of time you can or are willing to dedicate to your studies. Our courses offer flexible learning options which will fit around you so you can study as quickly as you like or take the full study period to complete your course.

  • What are the main aims of the course? What will I learn?

The A-level or GCSE subject specifications give you all you need to know.

  • Where will the qualification take me next?

For example, who recognizes the qualification? What is the qualification designed for. International GCSEs, for example, prepare students for senior high/secondary school.

  • How is it taught and who are the teachers?

  • What course materials are provided?

ITS provides all resources you need to take a qualification but you may choose to add more.

  • Will I be able to get hold of the books I need?

Check the rules on books in your country. Generally, if you have broadband access you will have full access to all the resources you need.

  • How is the qualification assessed and who is responsible for setting and marking the exams?

For example, an ITS International GCSE is from Edexcel.

  • How much does it cost?

  • When do I have to apply?

Give us a call on +852 2116 3916 or email us at [email protected]. Our team of Course Counsellors are ready and waiting to talk you through your options and help you find your perfect course.

Once you have a course and subjects in mind, you must get approval from our Director of Studies. We need to make sure that you are making appropriate choices. You cannot just buy a course. This is school and you need to gain acceptance to your course in the same way as you would gain entry to any school.

After you are accepted to a course, then you can move on and make sure you have the right equipment.
