Top Girls’ Boarding School, Wycombe Abbey is the new institution to bring the best of British education to Hong Kong. The prestigious school will open a new primary school on Hong Kong Island in August 2019, and will offer a curriculum which is based on the National Curriculum of England with a strong exposure to the learning of Chinese (Mandarin) for Grades 1-6 at it’s campus in the Southern District of Tin Wan.
This is the second international opening for this leading UK independent school, which opened Wycombe Abbey International School, Changzhou in China in 2016.
The original British school, founded in 1896, counts top judge Dame Elizabeth Butler-Sloss and former England cricket captain Molly Hide among its alumnae. The school boasts incredible academic results: GCSE and A level results for 2017/2018 were outstanding with 95. 2%of all GCSE entries graded A*-A. At A level 84.3% were graded A*-A. Approximately one third of Wycombe Abbey’s graduates receive offers of places at Oxford and Cambridge each year with others going on to leading Russell Group universities in the UK and top universities in the USA, such as Columbia, Harvard, MIT, Princeton and Stanford.

Curriculum: The Wycombe Abbey School curriculum combines all that is best in the British and Hong Kong primary education systems, providing students with a fully bilingual and bicultural – Chinese and English education.
