Children's climate rallies gain momentum in Europe

By ITS Education Asia

demo 24

A recent BBC article discusses the growing student protest movement across Europe in favour of tougher action on climate change. These protests have been inspired by 16-year-old Swedish activist Greta Thunberg. She is in Davos, urging the World Economic Forum (WEF) to ensure a greener future. Students carried banners with slogans such as "Dinosaurs thought they had time too" and "Be part of the solution, not the pollution."

It seem fitting young people are expressing their displeasure with the rate of action on climate change as they will be the ones who will bear the brunt of its consequences.

This movement has not spread to Hong Kong or other parts of Asia yet but maybe this will come.
