A nicely controversial piece about choosing schools here but it’s from Harvard so we have to at least read it. The researchers find a host of problems with ranking or evaluating schools but they perhaps boil down to the following: too much information; too little actually useful information; and too much focus on test scores. Of course what is always a problem is relating all the info you do have to the child in question.
