There are just a few boarding options in Hong Kong. These include the following:

Harrow International School, which opened in September 2012, offers the option of weekly boarding for students from Primary 6 upwards. Boarding arrangements follow the UK’s Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) standards. Harrow follows the UK A level curriculum in the senior years.

Li Po Chun United World College (LPCUWC) offers the two-year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The school is part of the global UWC network and the student body is composed of some eighty nationalities, though just under half the students are from Hong Kong. Termly boarding is compulsory for all students, with limited opportunities for weekends away, in order to ensure that all students participate fully in school life. Students are typically expected to apply to the UWC network in the country of their nationality, but those who combine foreign passports with Hong Kong Permanent Identity Cards or dependent visas can apply in Hong Kong. Entry is highly competitive.

Diocesan Boys’ School (DBS) is an Anglican boys’ school operating within the Government's Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS). Long established, well-endowed and highly academic, it uses English as the medium of instruction and offers both the IBDP and Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) curricula. The school is primarily a day school but offers weekly boarding to students from Grades 7 to 12.

St Stephen’s College is a Christian co-educational secondary school situated in a unique position in Stanley, on the southern tip of Hong Kong Island. It has a very long boarding tradition going back to its foundation in 1903. Like Diocesan Boys' School, it operates as a DSS school offering both the IBDP and the HKDSE.
